How to Properly Apply Nail Polish

Step 1: Apply Base Coat

The secret ingredient that serves to fortify, nurture, and shield the nails is the base coat. It also prolongs the life of a manicure and makes lacquer stick better. Natural nail restoration is the purpose of Côte Resurface and restoration Base Coat, whilst Côte Smoothing Base Coat Nail Primer serves.

Step 2: Paint Your Nails

On each nail, apply your initial coat of polish. Apply the polish in up to two layers and use the brush to paint three times. Don't fill the brush with more polish than you need for one nail. This prevents too much polish from dripping onto your skin or from applying too thickly and lumpily.

Step 3: Apply Your Second Coat

Not everyone decides to apply a top coat. Nonetheless, two coats of color application provide the best coverage and guarantee that the real color is seen. It acts as a second line of defense to keep your shine from peeling.

Step 4: Apply Top Coat

The polish application process ends with the top coat. Apply a light coating of top coat to each nail after letting the second coat dry. The process for doing this is the same as it is for all other prior applications.

Step 5: Clean Nails and Edges

After your nails are completely dried, use a cotton swab to gently rub the area around the cuticle of your nails to remove any leftover polish that may have come into contact with your skin. After dabbing it with a cotton pad beforehand, you can dip the q tip into nail paint remover.
